Westernport Singers Inc.

In February 2024, I joined a newly founded Choir. The Westernport Singers. They are building a wide and diverse repertoire and have a good collections of members across the vocal ranges of S.A.T.B. It is a joy to be a member of this wonderful group and I look forward to many years of pleasurable music making with them. I will post a report on each of their annual concerts here on this page.

2024
They performed their first concert on 2nd June and just putting it together in four months, which was an extraordinary achievement. Not only that, but they performed it to a sold out house. All proceeds went to Peninsula Hospice.


2025
Well, we did it again. Our 2025 concert, "Rhapsody in June", was presented to a sold out house. As usual, the student guest artists from Woodlea School, presented a high standard of performance. The music of the choir was an unusual selection and mix of items. From musicals to sacred and in between and included an arrangement of "Queen" song "Bohemian Rhapsody". Soloist Colin Marshall (myself) presented two songs from South Pacific. All proceeds went to Western Port Community Support
